I have read some good books so far this year and it is only half way through! Here are my top six books of 2018…so far and why six books? Because I wanted to just do just five but I couldn’t cut the list down anymore so six it is!
This year has been pretty good for books at least I think so! In this list you will see newer releases but also some older books from a few years ago. I am trying to stop putting off books that I really need to read but there’s so many new books always coming out and not a enough time to catch up. Anyway!! On to the list of my top six books for the first half of the year…lets go!
Air Awaken Series by Elise Kova
I am in love with this series! Kova is one of my new favorite authors. I haven’t finish the series but I only have one more book to go and I know I am going to love it. I am already freaking out about it!
Kova know how to write fun and lovable characters and endings that will leave you screaming at the book. For this series I adore how strong the main character is and I love the way magic works in this world. I am so excited to read the last book and her other series! Plus, the covers are out of this world BEAUTIFUL!
An Enchantment of Raves by Margaret Rogerson
This book is written beautifully in places. I adore the story and the ending. I know some people didn’t like this book but I really loved it. I still think about it sometimes. Soo, it left a big impression of me and gave me so much inspiration. If you love fae books then I think you will really love this stand-alone fantasy (fae) book.
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
OH MY GOSH THIS BOOK! THIS BOOK! THIS BOOK! I don’t even know what to say like… it is so freaking good. I don’t know how lived without this book before I read it. I have so many different thoughts and views on things now. My goodness! I just love these characters so much. If you haven’t read this then what are you even doing?!
All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
This one is in my top ten books of all time. I honestly can’t put my feelings into this words. Some books help fill the soul and this is one of those types of books. It helped me a lot and while sad it is also true and hopeful.
I am sure many people know what this book is about (mental health) so I want to say that there are things in this book that might be triggering. Please take care if you do decide to read it.
Girls Burn Brighter by Shobha Rao
I don’t read many adult fiction books but this one was sent to me from the publisher and I am so happy that they did! This is a beautiful, sorrowful yet hopeful story that will break your heart. This book is about human tracking in India. I will warn you there are some sensitive topics so be careful reading.
It is so powerful and I love the friendship/sisterhood within the book. This book isn’t just for entertainment but to give a voice to the women who need it.
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I read this whole series this year and wow! Why did I wait so long? The story is magical and not just because the story has magic in it but because of the characters and their development. Plus, the writing is so beautiful. I never seen a writing style like this. I will have a review for the whole series soon so keep your eyes peel for that.
